National Film Awards 2019: Churni Ganguly’s Tarikh Bags Best Dialogue Award

Recently, Raima Sen had won Jury Award for best actor female for the film at Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival. Tarikh is directed by Churni Ganguly and the film narrates a story of three individuals.

National Film Awards 2019: Churni Ganguly’s Tarikh Bags Best Dialogue Award
Director Churni Ganguly’s Tarikh has won national award for best dialogue. The 66th national awards winners were announced today in the evening. Raima Sen, Saswata Chatterjee and Ritwick Chakraborty were in the lead roles.

Recently, Raima Sen had won Jury Award for Best Actor Female for the film Tarikh at Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival.   

Director Raj Chakraborty also took to Twitter to wish the team for the prestigious award. “Congratulations @utterlyChurni on winning the Award for Best Dialogue for #Tarikh,” he tweeted.



Tarikh is directed by Churni Ganguly and the film narrates a story of three individuals: Anirban Gupta, a professor, Ira, Anirban's wife, works as a hotel lobby manager, and Rudrangshu (Rudy), Anirban's childhood friend. This was the second film directed by Ganguly after Nirbashito.

Additionally, Srijit Mukherji’s Ek Je Chhilo Raja has won the national award for best Bengali movie. The movie is all about Mahendra Kumar Choudhuri, the prince of the Bhawal Estate, is taken to Darjeeling for treatment by his relatives where he dies. Years later, a sanyasi shows up claiming to be the lost prince. And how he struggles to prove his identity?
